THE TAURIAN CITIES

THE EIGHT DOMED CITIES OF PAN

More mind than flesh, the Titans—from worlds with red and dying suns—lack the pigmentation that would protect them from Earth’s relentless solar rays and they find it necessary to build their cities on Pan beneath protecting domes. The domes spring up like translucent mushrooms, one by one until eight of them exist on Pan's forest floors. According to Titan Law, the cities are supposed to be ruled by a set of co-lords, male and female so that the Pleiad citizens are fairly represented. This isn’t always the case.
[1] TAURUS MINOR, the Capital, home of the Supreme Titans, ruled first by Nereus and Tethys; secondly by Hyperion and Thea; thirdly by Dawn and Astraeus; fourth by Helius and Perseis; and fifth and finally by Cronos and Nereus’s daughter Metis. It's situated on the east bank of a mighty river that flows from north to south.
[2] NERIED, situated on the west bank of the same river. Considered an extension of Taurus Minor, there are no Titans here, only Pleiads, and the governor appointed by Nereus is a Pleiad by the name of Partholon.
[3] BOREAS, situated in the North where the river rises; ruled by Nereus and Tethys who retire there after being replaced in Taurus Minor by Hyperion and Thea.
[4] NOTUS, situated in the South where the river flows into a sea; ruled by Thaumis and Pheabe.
[5] ZEPHYRUS, situated somewhere in the Far West; ruled by Phorcys and Mnemosyne.
[6] HYPERIA, situated in the Central Plains of Pan on the north shore of a large body of water that they call Musselshell Lake; ruled by Hecate I (Themis) and Iapetus.
[7] KABERA, sister-dome to Hyperia on the south shore of Musselshell Lake; first ruled by Rhea and Cronos, then by Rhea alone after Cronos refuses to claim her children as his and spurns her in favor of Metis when he is appointed Supreme Lord at Taurus Minor.
[8] COLCHIS, somewhere in the Far East; ruled by Perseis and her children after the untimely demise of Helius.
